Hey Dad Jokers, we know, there were a few technical difficulties with this one - but bear with us! Not only are we new to being dads, but to podcasts as well. We're still really excited about this week's episode and hope you'll come along for the ride!

On this episode of the DJL podcast, Christian picks Chris' brain about a medical case. The dads then talk about what they wish they know in the beginning of parenting, and advice they wish they were told before the birth of their daughters. Christian and Chris also talk about what their own parents instilled in them, and has that changed or affected their approach to parenting. Dad Joke of the Week makes a comeback, and the dads exchange rapid fire about their favourite TV shows. 

Chris brings up a cool medical case he saw in clinics. The dads talk about their approach to dealing with frustrations in parenting and which ones they have deemed the most difficult thus far. Chris and Christian discuss and compare the initial stressors of both their veterinary medicine careers and their parental journeys. Dad joke of the week makes a return to the podcast, and Chris delivers an emotional tribute to Canada's hockey dad. 

This is a long one (we're really sorry!), so pace yourself, listen in multiple parts, and make sure you go to the bathroom before you start! On this episode Chris and Christian dive into the topics of role changes within their marriages as the result of having children, as well as what their pediatrician experiences have been like being doctors themselves. Countdown makes its return to the show where the dads discussed their favo(u)rite non-traditional sports or sporting events. Rapid Fire closes out the show where children's movies and TV shows are compared. 

On this week's episode, the dads talk about family planning and the discussion had around the decision to have children. The differences in maternity leave between their respective countries and how this influenced their decision on when to have children. Dad joke of the week makes an appearance, and a story about a time that Chris took his clothes off in the back of someone else's car.

The dads talk about their hospital experiences when their children were born and the differences between those experiences. "Origin Story" is revisited where they discuss a time Christian had to take Chris to the hospital in the middle of the night! A new recurring segment "From the Vault" is introduced where dads of yesteryear are highlighted and discussed. 

On this, our second episode, the dads talk about how they found out there were going to be dads as well as the specifics of finding out they were having daughters! We introduce two new recurring segments "Countdown" and "Dad Joke of the Week"!

Our maiden voyage into the podcast universe! In this episode we discussed the origin story of not only our friendship but the podcast as well! We talk about how we met, our interests, reasons for doing the podcast and more! Recurring segments of "Origin Story" and "Rapid Fire", and a time we met a Pennsylvania state trooper at 2:30am.
