Members Reviews:
My granddaughter loved it .. So I had to read
My granddaughter had told me about this great book she had just read. So knowing that the title had a familiar ring, I googled it. To my surprise it was the same book that one of my favorite Fred Astaire movies was based upon. I rewatched the movie on Netflix and then had Audible read me the book. It was great! Can't wait to have her watch the old movie!
Entertaining and witty
If you could sum up Daddy-Long-Legs in three words, what would they be?
Witty, clean, and a bit predictable.
What other book might you compare Daddy-Long-Legs to and why?
"The guernsey literary and potato peel pie society" because it is also witty and in letter form.
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked Judy's views on life especially when she says "Most people don't live; they race"
Fantastic performance !!
A great book, critic in a funny way, and a fabulous performance !! Great work !!
A story to keep always
I've read the book a couple of times, seen the movie... And this is at least the second time I've listened to this recording. I get such a nice warm feeling from it that I choose it when I need to cheer myself up.
Exquisite
Loved Judy and her words. She makes you feel like writing letters again. The narrator was fabulous
