In "Daniel Chooses to be Kind," King Friday makes Daniel king for the day and gives him a list of royal duties. The most important duty, however, is to be kind. Daniel finds ways to be kind to his friends and neighbors. "You can choose to be kind."

In "Daniel Plays in the Snow," it's snowing and Daniel is excited to play outside with Miss Elaina. He initially resists wearing his hat and mittens, but quickly realizes he is too cold to have fun. He learns that being dressed for the weather makes playing in the snow much more enjoyable.

In "Calm at the Restaurant," the Tiger family and the Platypus family go out for a taco dinner. Daniel and Jodi get very excited and have to learn that there are times to be silly and times to be calm.

In "Munch Your Lunch", the kids get classroom jobs. Daniel wants to be line leader, but that's not the job he gets. He learns that every job is important!

In "Big Enough to Help", Dad Tiger is building a playhouse, and Daniel wants to help. Daniel is disappointed when he learns he is not big enough to use the grown-up tools.

In "Hammerbarn", the Heeler family takes a trip to the hardware store, Hammerbarn when Bandit gets jealous of his neighbor's new pizza oven. Inside, Bluey and Bingo create miniature homes in their shopping trolley with garden gnomes as husbands and household items. Bluey learns a valuable lesson about being happy with what you have. This story is a hilarious look at sibling rivalry and the "grass is always greener" mentality.
