We done things a bit differently on Dad's Hour this week. We wanted to take a look at the highs and lows of being a Dad after we received the amazing news that Erin Cross is in remission following her Car-T cell treatment! Erin is a lovely 5 year old girl from Chester who needed to raise £100,000 to receive her treatment in Seattle to help with her battle with leukaemia. Erin's Dad, Anthony, told Mick of how overwhelmed he was by the generosity of people who have helped Erin and how ecstatic he was that she is in remission.

We also caught up with Rugby legend and Question of Sport star, Matt Dawson, who told us of his struggles as a Dad. Matt's son suffered from meningitis and Matt wanted to come on to Dad's Hour to tell his story and raise awareness about this terrible disease.

The Dad's are back for another week and are talking about where they were when their partners give birth - were they a big help or just a massive hindrance?

Also on Dad's Hour is a very special guest and celeb Dad... Peter Andre! He tells us about dad dancing and did he use his 20 yr old body as an inspiration for his dad bod!

The dads are reunited to discuss their latest parenting woes and successes. This week: Play doh, nursery rhymes and the return of grammar schools.

Things were a bit different on Dad's Hour this week as it was changed from Friday to Thursday because of the perfect Dadding reason of childcare!

Mick Coyle was joined by regular dad Iain Christie and local author Ian Salmon to talk all things parenting. On the agenda this week for Dads Hour we asked the Dad's how stressed they were after a recent survey suggests that parents suffer with 2 hours of stress per day... is this true? Do you kids make you suffer with 2 hours of stress? Or is it actually much more!

We also spoke about the cost of new school uniforms for the average parent and everything that comes along with them. Is it worth the money? The Dad's discuss.

Joining Mick and Iain on this week's Dad's Hour to talk all things from the world of Dadding was comedian Jake Mills.

We asked the Dad's this week about their thoughts about the recent statistics that have come out in regards to the gender pay gap. According to a recent survey, working Mum's are earning a lot less than men and we asked the Dad's did they think this was fair? This also led us on to talk about parental leave and how much time off other countries give to Dad's compared to the UK. It's safe to say they were a little bit jealous!

On this week's Dad's Hour, there was another special guest in the form of Olympic silver medallist Mark Cavendish! Mark was fresh from Rio and joined the Dad's to tell them what life is like being an Olympic Dad.

Also on Dad's Hour, a recent survey said that half of UK parents admitted to letting their kids under 14 have a drink in the house and 1 in 10 even admitted letting children as young as 5 drink alcohol. We wanted to get Sam's and Iain's thoughts on this and at what age they'd think it was acceptable to give their kids their first drink.

On this week's Dad's hour, we had a very special guest on the show, comedian and presenter... Rufus Hound! Rufus came on to tell the Dad's about how rubbish it is to take your kids on holiday with you and how you can stop it from happening. This also got the Dad's talking about where they used to go on holiday and what it's like to be a modern Dad on holiday.

Also, would you neglect your kids to play Pokémon Go? A couple in America did exactly that! The Dad's gave their thoughts.

Our resident Dad Iain Christie was away this week but 2 of our regular Dad's, Che Burnley & Jake Mills, joined Mick Coyle to talk through all matters parenting.

We asked the Dad's how old is too old to have a teddy? This is after a recent survey which said that many adults still keep a teddy as their most prize possession.

We also asked Che and Jake at what age would you give your children an iPhone or iPad as well as how they deal with fussy eating and food demands from their kids!

Not forgetting the weekly Dad nods.

On this week's Dad's Hour, the Dad's spoke about a story in the Daily Mail where a café owner said that she would scold people's kids if they weren't behaving. Do you agree with this? Would you let someone else tell your children off? Iain and Che certainly had a lot to say on the matter!

And we had to mention a survey in the Times Educational Supplement where accidentally calling a teacher 'mum' or 'dad' is among the top 100 rites of passage according to children. Youngsters were surveyed on what they think they should have done or experienced in school by the time they reach 11. Taking a nap in class and laughing hysterically when someone breaks wind also feature in the list and this caused a few giggles in the studio!
