Happy Pride Month Everyone!!! For this month's episode we have Chicago native Donnie Moore! Donnie was our very first guest on Dagger Cast many many moons ago. Needless to say, the man does not age. He is as handsome as ever and just announced his new project SLIM NECK (Just a heads up, it took us a bit to edit this episode so some of the information may seem slightly dated. Sorry!). His new album HOSTAGE is available for pre-order right now at slimneck.bandcamp.com and you can hear the first single RECTIFY on your favorite streaming service. It is a super groovy goth-infected dance song with some intense beat and synth work. It simply rules, great to crank up on your summer drive/walk/bike ride! Donnie and Lindsey talk about the new Evil Dead, Lindsey also talks about Departing Seniors playing at Cannes! So much excitement, so little time. It is always a pleasure catching up with our guests. Happy Earth Month everyone! Please watch your carbon footprints, reduce, reuse, recycle!!! This month we have Clare Cooney, director of Departing Seniors, an upcoming feature Horror/Comedy film set right here in Chicago! She also has two short films buzzing around right now...one called Runner and another called After: A Love Story, which are both excellent and available to watch for free on the Omeleto channel on YouTube. The tea was spilt and you won't wanna miss Lindsey's reaction to some seriously rad news involving The Cell Phones. With a script written by DC alumni/Chicago actor Jose Nateras and a rad Chicago soundtrack curated by Nite Smoke, we are beyond excited for this story to be released to the world! Clare was such delight to have on our show, we hope you enjoy this insightful and heartfelt interview! Lindsey also discusses her favorite picks at the beginning of the episode, which are always quality! Get that pen and paper out!

Happy New Year? We know, it's March....sorry. Lots of wonderful chaos in the Dagger Cast world but we managed to put this excellent episode together for you this fine month! Our guest this week is Jason Deuchler, owner of the Horror-themed Avondale coffee shop, The Brewed. Lindsey talks with him about his love of monster movies and how it led him down the path to open up his super sweet coffee shop. Jason & The Brewed team will be showing a special director's cut of David Cronenberg's Videodrome at the forever magical Music Box Theater opening on March 15th! The northwest side of Chicago is extremely lucky to have The Brewed and is turning into a destination for Horror collectors and appreciators, alongside our friends at Bucket O'Blood books and records. Happy Old Year! For our last episode of 2022 we have the one and only Chicago artist Frank Okay! Frank has recently relocated to Tokyo to continue their art studies…they share some stories and life lessons they have learned as an American in Japan. They also nerd out over Horror influenced Japanese animation and terrifying David Lynch films. In addition to making art, they also makes music and just released two albums over the past year. Check out their bandcamp page at frankokay.bandcamp. Frank's motto is "be yourself and make a lot of stuff" .....which is the best advice we've gotten in months!

To top off this leaning tower of awesome, Frank AND Lindsey have a show coming up on January 7th at Subterranean (upstairs)! We have claimed this as a “mini Ian's Party” and this episode is a shameless plug. We are happy to have Frank back in Chicago for the holidays and hope to see you on the 7th! Are you frozen? Am I frozen? Despite some technical difficulties we managed to scrape together this wonderful episode with old friend/ Chicago musical maestro Vito Nusret! Vito is responsible for putting many of your favorite Chicago bands on stage through the years and was always your rock when you were too drunk at the show. Dude had everyones' back since day one and for that, we have all the gratitude. Since the times they are a changin', Vito began writing his Movies in a Minute reviews and sharing them on Facebook as a writing exercise. He has since started writing for Daily Grindhouse and Neon Splatter! Not only a Chicago punk rock torch bearer, also a Horror aficionado, our kinda guy! This was a fun talk between friends catching up. Lindsey also weighs in on the film Master. You won't want to miss it! Stay dangerous, friends!

Aaaaaand WE'RE BACK! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! It's been a bit and we have some news for you (as well as a new episode!) We are sad to say that our founding host Brian Kirst has decided to leave to the show to focus on his writing. We bid him a warm farewell and will miss him very much! You can and should follow Brian everywhere and anywhere under his Big Gay Horror Fan moniker. We cannot wait to see what he is stirring up and will of course keep you all posted!

Instead of saying farewell to our beloved show we enjoy making so much, Lindsey has decided to carry the torch with the same production team and a whole new format! We are excited to have Chicago actor/ multi-disciplinary artist Morgan Manasa for our October Guest to talk about the new, super-rad film Barbarian. (SPOILER ALERT CITY!!!) Currently Morgan has a production in the works with Babes With Blades called Plaid as Hell, with premiers November 4th at The Factory Theater in Rogers Park. She was a lovely guest! Hello fellow Dagger Cast witches and warlocks, we have a super special episode after a little time off. Jaime Adrian is a Mexican American singer from the south east side of Chicago with a dream of being a gay pop music icon for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth around the world. Jaime started singing in Spanish when he was 8 years old but his taste in music evolved over time. While growing up in an environment of spanish, rap, and alternative music Jaime found himself drawn to UK/Euro pop artists like A-Teens, Steps, S Club 7, Samantha Mumba, Anastacia, and Britney Spears. He now lists Cheryl Cole, Rita Ora, The Saturdays and Little Mix as his main influences in music. He is a beyond sweet human being with limitless talent. We are so excited for him to be a part of our podcast. Hope you enjoy!
