For the past few weeks, as a women's ministry, we've been studying the book of Ecclesiastes. I woke up this morning with an intensity to encourage you, my sisters (and brothers, if you're reading). God knows your season and He holds you in it. No matter what your time or season is, remember that no time is ever wasted when you live according to His will. "He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.." (Ecc. 3:11). Listen/watch to the recorded encouragement:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (ESV)
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ladies… as we sit with these words, I want to invite you to take a slow breath—
Because this is the God who holds every season. Not just the beautiful ones—the confusing ones, the stretching ones, the hidden ones, and the healing ones too.
One of the things Ecclesiastes has taught us in this study is this:
Life is full of change, but God is full of constancy.
Everything under the sun shifts… but the One who stands above the sun never does.
Some of us are walking through a season of planting—new dreams, new responsibilities, new courage.
Some of us are in a season of uprooting—letting go of what no longer fits the place God is leading us to.
Some of us feel like we’re rebuilding from what was broken.
And some of us are simply learning how to rest again.
Wherever you are today, I want you to hear this:
Your season is seen. Your heart is known. Your steps are ordered.
Nothing about your life is random to God.
He wastes nothing.
He rushes nothing.
And He forgets nothing you’ve prayed in the quiet.
The Teacher in Ecclesiastes often showed us the limits of life—how fragile, how fleeting, how unpredictable it can be.
But in showing us the limits, he also pointed us to the Limitless One.
Sisters, you are held by a God who is not overwhelmed by your season.
You are guided by a God who is not confused by your questions.
You are loved by a God who is not disappointed by your pace.
So if you are in a season of joy—rejoice deeply.
If you are in a season of tears—know that God treasures every one.
If you are in a season of waiting—remember that delays are not denials.
And if you are in a season of change—God is already in your next chapter, preparing it for you.
Let this truth settle into your spirit:
Every season you pass through is an invitation to know God more intimately.
Not one season is wasted.
Not one season is purposeless.
Not one season lasts forever—but God’s faithfulness does.
So may you walk forward today with peace, with confidence, and with a renewed trust that the God who authors your seasons is also the God who perfects your story.
Even when life isn’t well…
He is still well.
And because He is, you can be also.
Amen.
