Do you ever feel like life is not fair? When the Israelites got to the promised land they all started to get into things they should not have and they still all got land except one Tribe, the Levites. They received no allocation of land.

There seems to be an almost endless list of things that the Israelites are to do and or not do when they enter into the land that the Lord promised them. There is one that stands out to me today in todays reading, maybe because it was noteworthy enough for Jesus to mention thousands of years later.

Israelites are about to enter the land that the Lord had promised them 40 years prior. He is now giving them instructions for when they enter and one of the items on the list is what to look for in a King.

It struck me as I read this how they were all intertwined. They will need a King with the right heart.
