I have made a commitment today, in writing and everything (even signed) that I would spend time with the Lord for the next 20 days with a minimum of 20 minutes per day.

As I read through Psalm 20 verse 4 is tough for me.

"May he give you the desires of your heart

and make all your plans succeed."

I think if you have a vision of something big that God wants to accomplish through you it can be tough to take the first step. We read about Ahab today and when a prophet told him he was going to battle and the Lord would make him victorious, he wanted to know "how?" We see he trusted the Lord to make him victorious and he shows up to fight.

Who are you going to follow? I like how Elijah asks that question to the king and the prophets in attendance in today's reading. There is something powerful about truly making a decision about your own life. Don't be so indecisive, chose Jesus.

Godly advice is hard to come by, I think we should all try to make it a goal to connect and build relationships with other Godly people who are further in life than we are.

What are you doing with your life? I think that is a valid question to ask every now and again, Solomon was successful in seemingly every way but then still (later in life) started worshiping other gods. All his success is worthless if you abandon the Lord.
