Every salvation story starts with this truth: Jesus came looking for us. We did not find Him first — He sought us out in our brokenness, our wandering, and our sin. His mission was never to condemn, criticize, or reject. His mission was simple and powerful: to rescue.
In today’s devotion, we look at the heart of the gospel and discover four life-changing truths about why Jesus came — and what that means for our lives today.
1. Jesus Came on a Rescue Mission
John 3:17 shows us that Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it. His entire life — from the manger to the cross — reveals His mission to redeem the lost.
2. Jesus Seeks the Lost with Compassion
Matthew 9:36 reminds us that Jesus goes after those who are hurting, wandering, ashamed, or forgotten. His compassion always moves Him toward the broken.
3. Jesus Saves the Lost Completely
Romans 5:8 reveals the depth of God’s love. Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. Salvation is not partial — it is complete, transforming our past, our identity, and our future.
4. Jesus Sends Us to Share His Mission
Matthew 28:19–20 tells us that those who have been found are called to help find others. We carry the message of hope to a world still lost in darkness.
Memory Verse:
Luke 19:10 — “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
This devotion will strengthen your faith, deepen your gratitude for salvation, and ignite your heart to share the hope of Jesus with others.
Waiting is one of the hardest tests of faith. We love quick answers and fast progress, yet God often works in seasons of delay. Scripture shows us that delays are not punishments — they are preparation. Abraham waited for a son, Joseph waited in prison, Moses waited in the desert, and even Jesus waited before beginning His ministry. God uses waiting to shape our character and strengthen our trust.
Today’s message walks through four powerful truths about trusting God while you wait:
1. God’s Delays Are Not His Denials
Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that God’s promises always come at the appointed time. Delays are not rejection; they are alignment.
2. Waiting Builds Strength and Maturity
Isaiah 40:31 teaches that those who hope in the Lord gain new strength. The waiting room becomes the training ground for endurance.
3. Waiting Teaches Dependence, Not Control
Proverbs 3:5–6 calls us to trust God with all our hearts. Waiting frees us from the illusion of control and restores peace.
4. Waiting Positions You for God’s Perfect Timing
Galatians 6:9 promises that a harvest is coming if we do not give up. God’s timing is always perfect, never early, and never late.
Memory Verse:
Psalm 27:14 — “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
This devotion will help you trust God deeply, even when His timing feels slow. Delays are not wasted — they are shaping you for your destiny.
