More and more we see things going on in this world, and it can be scary. 
But I want to encourage you to speak this declaration over you and your children as a special protection from God. 

It is something He advised me to do, and I want to share that with you too so you can be strengthened and prepared for whatever challenges you may also face. 

Psalms 91

There are many times we battle with our flesh. We know what we need to do, but we end up falling on our faces anyways and doing the very things we do not want to do.
As Paul said in Romans 7:21
 "Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

Sometimes I want to do good, and I know I have to, but then the very next thing I do is evil and feel horrible about it. That is why I am glad the Holy Spirit can help me to do good and lead me into prayer to ask for forgiveness. For I am human, and make mistakes too. 
And the spirit helps us to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. 
And when I fall, God delivers me, and helps me in the time of my trouble.

So the next time someone does something to hurt you, please forgive them and give them to God. I know it is hard, believe me I know. But then, we are free to grow and live the abundant life Jesus died to give us. He died on the cross for us all so we can be with Him in eternity when this life passes away. We are made new and are the righteousness of God through Christ. 
Isn't that amazing? 
You are chosen. You are blessed and a co-heir with Christ. 
That means you get what he gets. It is freely given, nothing you can do to earn it besides saying YES to Jesus. Then watch him transform your life.

So the next time you are in a situation of oppression, call upon the name of the Lord. Forgive them, even if it is internally and give it to God.
