January 15, 2023: Today is the last day I will be working with my current partner, because I am moving to a new shift with a new partner and a new team. “Parks” has been the best partner I have ever had. I am so grateful for our time together. He’s at the top of his paramedic class, incredibly intelligent, hard-working and dedicated to our trade, and it is without a doubt that working with him has made me a better paramedic overall. I didn’t expect to leave him so soon but an opportunity came up that will be better for my overall work life balance. I’m really gonna miss working with him, but I know we’re both gonna be moving on to bigger and better things. But as it’s our last day, and yesterday we literally saved two lives, I just want the world to know how grateful I am (and what a privilege it has been) for having been his partner. | Today’s character is an excellent metaphor for self-confidence. It’s amazing the potential we’re able to unlock it ourselves when we just believe in ourselves. If you get nothing else from the movie Finding Dory, at least take that away from it. | There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day! | We always here quotes from Walt Disney himself, but what was it like working with him? Today’s quote gives us some insight into that experience.

  • It’s our 100th episode!!!
January 14, 2023: This is the one-hundredth installment of the podcast Daily Disney! Our 100th episode!!! The average podcast lasts only seven episodes, or less than two months. And here we are having produced daily installments for over three months. Today I am grateful for my persistence. Yes, this is a shameless self congratulations post and I know that I am tooting my own horn while patting myself on the back here. But I’ve been the kind of person who’s found it easier to quit things then stick with them. I have, unfortunately, quit more things than I’ve stuck with over the years. So today I am grateful that I have stayed with something for so long (relatively), even if it is just a simple and silly daily podcast. Piper Onion 🐶 and l worked hard to set up the “magic” behind the scenes that allows us to make daily episodes easily. And we continue to be part of that magic behind the scenes to produce an episode each day. | Today’s character is what I would imagine Batman 🦇 would’ve become had he been more of a nerd or prone to more evil tendencies. | Today an incredibly talented actor celebrates his birthday 🎂 and it’s a shame that there’s only one Disney credit to his name. | Today Walt recognizes that animals have personality, and I can confirm that Piper Onion has a very strong personality herself 🐶 🧅

  • Happy birthday to my friend Handsome Bob! And congratulations on another baby!!!
January 13, 2023: Last night my wife and I went to a cooking class, a Christmas gift her father gave us. It was a really fun date night with really amazing food! I’m so grateful that I have such readily accessible food options available to me. I know not everyone does, but I’m so grateful that food access is not a major concern in my life. Even to the point where preparing food is a recreational activity and not some kind of a daily challenge. That’s why I support the YouTube channel Beast Philanthropy, because in addition to all of his other philanthropic activities his primary charity is a food bank here in my home state. | What can be said about today’s character? He’s done pretty much everything, and we all owe him a big thank you! | I know that is Friday the 13th today, but it’s a fairly lucky day for Disney! Mickey’s first premier, the premiere of Snow White in New York, and a major Disney attraction all opened up on this day. So perhaps it’s a lucky day after all. | Today a Disney animator, that is not Walt Disney himself, tells us one of the biggest challenges faced when making an animated film.

  • Walt Disney has been nominated for 59 Oscars and has won 26 of them (the most for a single person)
January 12, 2023: Today I am grateful for my dog, Piper Onion. This little Jack Russell Terrier is one of the most lovable creatures I have ever known. She is the first one to greet me when I come home at the end of a long day, with her little nub of a tail wagging like crazy. She gets super excited whenever we go out for walks and she has encouraged me to be more active because of that. She also loves to cuddle up in my lap when I’m reading 🐶 🥰 I need to thank my wife for bringing her into my life, and giving me the best doggie ever! | Do we have two characters we’re featuring today? That’s kind of crazy, but they do function as a single unit. | Today we celebrate the birthday of the man who made a desk lamp dance and made me feel terrible about putting my toys in the attic. | Walt believes in the importance of a physically active life, full of sports and play, and believes it is vital to our country!

  • Happy birthday to one of my personal heroes: Alexander Hamilton!
January 11, 2023: you can say whatever you want about the flaws of our founding fathers, and some of the atrocities they performed in their day. But you cannot deny the impact that they had Which literally would go on to change the world. I do believe that it’s possible to recognize how horrible some of these people could have been but still find inspiration in what they achieved. As Aunt May would say in Spider-Man 2, “Everyone needs a hero.”; and as Malcolm Reynolds would say Firefly, “It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of him was one kind of sommbitch or another. Ain't about you, though. It's about what they (the people)need.” | You may have heard the term Montezuma‘s Revenge, but what about Erso’s Revenge? Galen Erso, today’s spotlight character, purposely built a law in the death star two later be exploited. So the expression that he now inspired means to purposely build a flaw or exploitable detail into something so that later you or someone else can use that flaw to help destroy the thing created. | it’s pretty crazy how many parades an anniversary celebrations Disney celebrates regularly. | though he may hate being tied to the character of Han Solo forever, even Harrison Ford recognizes the importance that character had on his entire career

  • Demanding perfection from yourself and others is fruitless and unkind
January 10, 2023: Today I am grateful for my job, and all the opportunities it is affording to me. I am so grateful for the people, especially the supervisors, that are fighting to get me on their teams. I just accepted the offer for a new, very desirable shift, and this comes from being given several options 🚑 So although I’m grateful to have a job that I love, I’m even more grateful to have to work in a place that loves me back 🥰 |Today’s character is a guardian that feels all the feels. Although I feel that her innocence is sometimes leaned too much on for comedy. But in the grand scheme of that particular franchise, it all seems to work and balance out | Today Walt’s nephew was born, the one who would go on to be very prominent and important in the Disney brand on the grand scheme | Today Walt gets patriotic and environmental. Environmentally patriotic? I guess that’s a thing now 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • There is no need to “have it all” to have more than enough
January 9, 2023: Today I am grateful for my wife 💍 most particularly and especially her support of all my crazy ideas. No matter how simple or small they may be, or silly and strange (like starting a daily podcast with absolutely no previous experience) she supports me in everything that I do 🥰 I am so grateful to have her with me through this journey of life! I love you babe 😘 |It’s funny how few of the princes names we actually know from the early days. The princesses all have very distinct personalities and their names are embedded in our culture, but outside of Prince Charming‘s name what do we really know about the men that they swoon over? | Today we celebrate the birthdays of the guys that would bring us EPCOT, as well as the premiere of the character that would eventually evolve to become Daisy Duck | The cofounder of Pixar gives us a new way to look at team success and how the company is succeeding. You better believe I am going to repost that quote to my agency’s private Facebook page.

  • Congratulations to the Iron Axe Society on their one year anniversary!!! Keep crushing it 🪓 🪓 🪓
January 8, 2023: Today I am grateful for our axe throwing family, a group that puts support and encouragement before competition. We all aim to lift each other higher in the sport as well as in our lives | Today we finally get to the Pumpkin King’s lady, albeit 69 days later | Walt gets an award from France while his park hits a major milestone | Walt reminds us that these stories are part of how we pass down our morals and tell of our history 🎥

  • Pinocchio was very expensive to make, and ended up bombing at the box office
January 7, 2023: I have decided to update and make a slight change to this podcast. In the description and episode notes section, I’m going to post something that I am grateful for each day. The power of practicing gratitude, especially on a daily basis, has been shown to do wonders for mental health and to help combat depression. So I’m putting it out there that I will start practicing gratitude on a daily basis, with Piper Onion by my side 🐶 Since Piper and I produce these podcast episodes in the early morning hours, it will probably be something that I was grateful for the day before. But I’m sure everyone following will catch on pretty quickly | And now for our usual notes: Today’s character is probably the sweetest villain in the entire Disney library | On this day MGM Studios no longer exists, for it is now Hollywood Studios | Today we hear from an animator, who is not Walt Disney, but who is inspired by Walt himself | Thank you all for being with Piper and me on this journey ❤️❤️❤️ Have a magical day!!!

  • Grow something worth championing, defending, and giving to the world!
January 6, 2023: Today’s character is a big hero with only one ultimate weakness, and that’s touching his stuff and putting it slightly out of place #OCD | Happy birthday Mr. Bean!!! I also want to know why the happiest place on earth would host a marathon, which if you’ve ever run one is very much an unhappy experience | Walt tells us to respect nature, which is a very fitting quote considering my wife and I just found our new favorite Greenway to go walking in 🥰 There really is nothing like being out in nature to lift the spirits 😁
