Fix your crown
Sometimes, things get hard, faith starts to slip, drive is depleted and ambition fades. It’s normal and perfectly fine to slip into that frame of mind every now and again, the thing is you just can’t stay there. So, find clarity, develop your plan and set your goals and stop allowing the things that surround you to consume and dictate how you feel and react. It’s not going to be easy, but I remember I use to tell myself that, “the ship only sinks, if you let the water get in”.
It’s critical you take time to self-reflect and truly consider what energizes you, what inspires you and what type of long-term legacy you hope to leave behind. If done correctly, a personal mission statement can ensure each decision you make leads you closer to a role in which you find both fulfillment and meaning.
When I first ventured into entrepreneurship, I experienced the same skepticism and concerns as many people experience, I’m sure. I had a bunch of different feelings and questions that prohibited me from starting for a while. I was quite certain of what I wanted to do, but terrified half to death to pursue it. My anxiety for a while would not allow me to begin. On top of that I was afraid of failure and with all the uncertainty that surrounds starting a business I was definitely in no rush to start. But by the grace of God, prayer and consistency I was able to move forward despite my fear, self-doubt and hesitation.
