  • Packers Shuffle the O-Line, Jordan Love’s Secret Weapon & Brewers Ready for October
On The Homer Hour, Steve “Homer” True gets the latest from Jason Wilde on how the Packers could respond to their Week 1 offensive-line disaster. Aaron Banks returned to practice on a limited basis, but Wilde says Green Bay could turn to Jagger Burton at left guard and even move Anthony Belton back to right guard. With the Jets looming, Wilde explains why an 0-2 start would turn the volume way up on Matt LaFleur and the Packers.
Wilde also shares what he learned from Jordan Love and Jayden Reed about Love’s unusual ability to make accurate throws while fading away from pressure. Reed compares it to Kobe Bryant’s fadeaway jumper, and Wilde explains why that unconventional skill became a lifesaver with Love constantly running for his life against Minnesota. Plus, why didn’t Green Bay use screens to slow down the Vikings’ relentless pass rush?
Tim Van Voren joins the show to turn toward the Brewers after their fourth straight NL Central title. TVV explains why he feels better about Milwaukee’s World Series chances than he did a year ago, how the first-round bye could allow the Brewers to line up Jacob Misiorowski and Logan Henderson atop their playoff rotation and why Robert Gasser and Dustin May could become crucial October arms.

  • 2PM: Brewers Four-Peat! Is It World Series or Bust & Did the Packers Break Kyle?
The 2PM hour of Kyle & Brust celebrates history as the Brewers clinch their fourth consecutive NL Central championship, becoming the first team ever to win four straight in the division. But Kyle Wallace is already looking toward October and says simply winning another division title isn’t enough anymore. The guys debate whether this season can truly be considered a success without Milwaukee reaching its first World Series since 1982 and whether the Brewers have enough starting pitching to finish the job.
Meanwhile, the Packers’ collapse has apparently broken Kyle. He tells the story of becoming convinced there was a mouse in his basement, paying an exterminator $110 and then learning that his supposed evidence of a rodent might not have been evidence at all. Kyle’s wife now thinks the Packers have driven him crazy, while Ben wonders what happens to his co-host if Green Bay actually loses to the Jets.
Plus, Matt Lepay joins the show to explain why the Badgers’ best football has been encouraging but far too inconsistent, why Wisconsin needs meaningful wins to bring the energy back to Camp Randall and why Brewers fans shouldn’t take this historic run for granted.

  • 3PM: Packers O-Line Hits Rock Bottom, LaFleur Takes the Blame & Can Green Bay Fix This?
The 3PM hour of Kyle & Brust puts numbers behind just how disastrous the Packers’ offensive line was against Minnesota. Jordan Love was hit 18 times, pressured 16 times and faced an unblocked defender on 10 of his 46 dropbacks. Kyle breaks down the staggering metrics that separated Green Bay from literally every other offensive line in football and argues that criticizing Love after what he endured is missing the much bigger problem.
Then Kyle hears Adam Stenavich describe the breakdowns as communication and assignment issues, and that sends him into orbit. He argues those mental mistakes after an entire offseason of preparation put the responsibility directly on Matt LaFleur, while Ben says Brian Gutekunst deserves plenty of blame for constructing the unit in the first place. The guys also question why Anthony Belton was moved away from guard during the offseason only for the Packers to immediately consider moving him back after one game.
Plus, Michelle Smallmon joins the show to defend Jordan Love, explain why she’s still riding with the Packers after leaving the Bears at the altar and admit that a loss to the Jets would make defending LaFleur on ESPN Radio awfully difficult Monday morning.
