David Crowley has won the Democratic nomination for Wisconsin governor, setting up a general election battle with Republican Tom Tiffany.
In his victory speech, the Milwaukee County Executive called for Democrats to unite after a competitive primary and argued that the race shouldn't be defined by progressives versus moderates or insiders versus outsiders. Crowley thanked Governor Tony Evers, Francesca Hong and his other primary opponents before turning his attention to November.
Crowley lays out his campaign priorities on affordability, child care, health care, education and jobs, while sharing how his own experiences with childhood eviction, addiction in his family and housing instability shaped his approach to public service.
Plus, Crowley takes questions from reporters about uniting the Democratic Party, his campaign's comeback, the possibility of becoming Wisconsin's first Black governor and how he plans to defeat Tom Tiffany in November.
