Daily Happy: Episode 63: Gratitude Journal

I  started a gratitude journal recently.

Not the “leather-bound, 5am, candle-lit” kind.
 More the “wrote three things down while my coffee cooled” kind.

Turns out, it actually works.

When you train your brain to notice what’s going right, it starts showing you more of it.
 Hot coffee.
 A meeting that ends early.
 An email that doesn’t say “per my last message.”

Some days my gratitude list is deep and meaningful.
 Other days it’s:
 • I answered emails
 • I didn’t lose my keys
 • I didn’t spill my coffee

Still counts.

Gratitude isn’t about ignoring challenges—it’s about giving your brain a break from constantly scanning for problems. And in work and life, that shift matters more than we think.

If you haven’t tried it yet, write down three things you’re grateful for today.
 Yes, even “Wi-Fi that works” qualifies.

Your future self (and probably your coworkers) will thank you.
