Hey rockstars, welcome back to Daily Happy — the short and sweet podcast designed to make your day a little brighter.
Today, the thing that’s making me happy is descheduling.
For a long time, my calendar looked like a game of Tetris gone too far — every hour packed, every block filled. I believed that full calendars meant productivity, responsibility, and success.
Lately, I’ve been experimenting with something different: leaving intentional space.
And it’s made a noticeable difference.
When my days aren’t wall-to-wall, I’m less rushed, more present, and not starting each day already feeling behind. Open afternoons or unscheduled evenings create room to think, reflect, and reset — and that space has been surprisingly powerful.
What’s interesting is that I’m not getting less done. If anything, I’m getting the right things done. The work that matters. The work that aligns with how I want to show up.
Today, I’m grateful for blank spaces on the calendar — and the reminder that rest doesn’t have to be earned through exhaustion.
