NAOMI WAS A GOD FEARING AND LOVING MOTHER-IN-LAW THAT MADE RUTH TO CLING TO HER WITH NO PROMISES OF TEMPORARY MATERIAL BENEFITS BUT ONLY A PATH BEDEWED WITH TEARS AND HARDSHIP. NAOMI WAS A WITNESS FOR GOD IN HER HOME 🏡 INDEED CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. RUTH IS FOUND IN THE GENEALOGY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ALL BECAUSE OF A BLESSED MOTHER-IN-LAW 

The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian. – {Ministry of Healing p. 470.1}

Ruth 1:15-17

And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. 16And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. 

IT IS EASY TO CLING TO A RICH IN-LAW BUT RUTH HELD ON TO NAOMI WHO HAD NOTHING TO OFFER EXCEPT HER FAITH IN GOD! RUTH HAD TO TAKE THE LOWLY JOB OF GLEAN IN THE FIELDS TO SUSTAIN HERSELF AND HER MOTHER-IN-LAW. GOD DOES NOT BLESS IDLENESS OCCUPY YOURSELF WITH EVEN A HUMBLE JOB AND GOD WILL LIFT YOU FROM THERE.

Ruth 2:2

And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. 

Proverbs 31:26-27

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 

RUTH BECAME A WITNESS FOR GOD IN THE ENTIRE CITY

Ruth 3:10-11

And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. 11And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.

The apostle Paul says to the disciples of Jesus, “Ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ,” “known and read of all men.” 2 Corinthians 3:3, 2. In every one of His children, Jesus sends a letter to the world. If you are Christ’s follower, He sends in you a letter to the family, the village, the street, where you live. Jesus, dwelling in you, desires to speak to the hearts of those who are not acquainted with Him. Perhaps they do not read the Bible, or do not hear the voice that speaks to them in its pages; they do not see the love of God through His works. But if you are a true representative of Jesus, it may be that through you they will be led to understand something of His goodness and be won to love and serve Him. – {Steps to Christ p. 115.1}

Christians are set as light bearers on the way to heaven. They are to reflect to the world the light shining upon them from Christ. Their life and character should be such that through them others will get a right conception of Christ and of His service. – {Steps to Christ p. 115.2}

IN MANY HOMES IN-LAWS WHO EVEN PURPORT TO GO TO CHURCH LIVE IN BITTER TENSION WITH THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN MARRIED INTO THE FAMILY. YET WHERE GOD TRULY REIGNS THERE IS PEACE AND TRANQUILLITY 

2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient,”

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.”

NOAH LIVED HARMONIOUSLY WITH HIS DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW AND WAS SAVED WITH THEM IN THE ARK. NOAH LIVED AND PREACHED MORE FOR HIS FAMILY CIRCLE THAN FOR THE OUTSIDE WORLD 🌍 

There are many who should live less for the outside world and more for the members of their own family circle. There should be less display of superficial politeness and affection toward strangers and visitors and more of the courtesy that springs from genuine love and sympathy toward the dear ones of our own firesides. – {Adventist Home p. 422.3}

Hebrews 11:7

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

BE RECONCILED WITH YOUR IN-LAWS

TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE TRUTH IN LOVE

Ephesians 4:15-16

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. 

Colossians 3:20-21

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. 

DISCIPLINE IN LOVE ❤️ UNDISCIPLINED CHILDREN ARE A DISASTER TO THE FAMILY, THE COMMUNITY AND THE NATION.

Proverbs 29:15

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭ESV‬

“And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons? “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.”

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;”

Administer the rules of the home in wisdom and love, not with a rod of iron. Children will respond with willing obedience to the rule of love. Commend your children whenever you can. Make their lives as happy as possible.... Remember that children need not only reproof and correction, but encouragement and commendation, thepleasant sunshine of kind words. – {Adventist Home p. 18.3}

LOVE TAKES TIME WITH SOMEONE. IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN YOU WILL SPEND TIME WITH THEM

Song of Solomon 1:6

Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. 

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

ABRAHAM THE FATHER OF FAITH WOULD GO AND PRAY ALONE WITH HIS SON! HE TAUGHT HIM THE REQUIREMENTS OF WORSHIPING GOD AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TIME ALONE WITH GOD. LET NOT OUR NEGLECT OF SPIRITUAL MODELING LEAD OUR CHILDREN TO REBELLION.

“Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

Mark 4:18-19

Some, fearing they will suffer loss of earthly treasure, neglect prayer and the assembling of themselves together for the worship of God, that they may have more time to devote to their farms or their business. They show by their works which world they place the highest estimate upon… They make their temporal, worldly interests first, and rob God of the time which they should devote to His service. THE SINS OF SODOM WENT BEYOND SEXUAL IMMORALITY AND PERVERSION ACCORDING TO ISAIAH AND EZEKIEL. IT IS ONE THING TO SIN AND ANOTHER THING TO ARROGANTLY PARADE ONE’S SIN‼️

For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11¶Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous. 12And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you. 

Jonah 1:15-17

So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. 16Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. 17¶Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. GOD HAS A PLAN TO RESCUE YOU EVEN BEFORE YOU PRAY 🙏 THE FISH WAS PREPARED BEFORE JONAH PRAYED BUT WHEN YOU SEE GOD’S HAND AT WORK IN YOUR LIFE  THEN PRAY🙏 

Isaiah 65:24

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 

Jonah 2:1-4

Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, 2And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. 3For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. 4Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. 

Jonah 2:7

When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 

The idea that prayer is not essential is one of Satan’s most successful devices to ruin souls. Prayer is communion with God, the Fountain of wisdom, the Source of strength, and peace, and happiness. – {Child Guidance p. 518.1}

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

NOAH HAD A FAITH THAT WORKED BEING WARNED OF THE FLOOD BY FAITH HE BUILT AN ARK. GENUINE RECEPTION OF GOD’S GRACE WILL PRODUCE GOOD WORKS.

Genesis 6:22

Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

James 2:17-19

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 

Instead of releasing man from obedience, it is faith, and faith only, that makes us partakers of the grace of Christ, which enables us to render obedience. – {Steps to Christ p. 60.2}

We do not earn salvation by our obedience; for salvation is the free gift of God, to be received by faith. But obedience is the fruit of faith. – {Steps to Christ p. 61.1}

SAVING FAITH WILL PRODUCE GOOD WORKS NOT FOR SELF-GLORIFICATION LIKE THE PHARISEE BUT TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

Luke 18:11-12

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

1 Peter 2:12

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

MAY THE LORD SHELTER US IN THE ARK OF HIS LOVE ❤️ IN THIS SEA OF SIN AND WICKEDNESS UNTIL HE TAKES US HOME‼️

John 17:15-16

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me. 6And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

IF YOU WAIT ON THE LORD IN YOUR WILDERNESS HE HAS A RESCUE PLAN HE CAN EVEN AIRLIFT YOU OUT OF YOUR SITUATION‼️ OBADIAH DIDN’T DOUBT GOD’S ABILITY FOR AN AIR RESCUE MISSION 

1 Kings 18:11-12

And now you say, Go, tell your lord, Behold, Elijah is here. 12And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry you where I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he shall slay me: but I your servant fear the LORD from my youth.

ELIJAH WAS TORMENTED IN THE SPIRITUAL WILDERNESS OF ISRAEL, HE WAS HUNTED IN ALL NATIONS SURROUNDING ISRAEL BY AHAB, BECAUSE HE WAS CONSIDERED AS AN ENEMY OF HIS NATION! HE STOOD ALONE FOR GOD ON MOUNT CARMEL, AFTER PRAYING FOR RAIN TO COME WAS REWARDED EVIL FOR GOOD BY BEING THREATENED WITH A DEATH SENTENCE. YET GOD HAD AN AIR RESCUE PLAN FOR HIS FAITHFUL SERVANT.

1 Kings 18:16-18

So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah. 17¶And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim. 

DON’T GO INTO DEPRESSION WHEN TROUBLES SURROUND‼️ GOD HAS A RESCUE PLAN 

1 Kings 19:2-4

Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. 3And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer–sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. 4¶But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. 

2 Kings 2:8-11

And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. 9¶And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 11And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

ALL WHO WILL DARE TO STAND ALONE FOR GOD AGAINST ALL ODDS IN THE END-TIME QUALIFY FOR GOD’S FINAL AIR RESCUE FROM THIS WILDERNESS OF SIN.  DON’T LET YOUR HEART ❤️ BE TROUBLED RESCUE IS ON IT’S WAY‼️

John 14:1-3

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

THE STORY OF ENOCH IN THE BIBLE GIVES US HOPE THAT ONE CAN LIVE A RIGHTEOUS LIFE IN A CORRUPT WORLD THROUGH FAITH AND BE TRANSLATED TO HEAVEN WITHOUT SEEING DEATH.

ROMANS 15:4

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 

Genesis 5:21-24

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. 

FAITH IN GOD WAS THE BASIS OF HIS TRANSLATION WAS DEMONSTRATED IN DAY TO DAY LIFE 

Enoch’s walk with God was not in a trance or vision, but in all the duties of his daily life. He did not become a hermit, shutting himself entirely from the world; for he had a work to do for God in the world. In the family and in his intercourse with men, as a husband and father, a friend, a citizen, he was the steadfast, unwavering servant of the Lord. – {Patriarchs and Prophets p. 85.1}

Hebrews 11:5-6

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Luke 17:5-6

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. 6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 

ENOCH PREACHED THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST AND THE JUDGMENT 

Jude 1:14-15

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 

Psalm 50:3-4

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. 5Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Matthew 24:30-31

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

A Way in the Wilderness: Don’t Provoke God in the Wilderness‼️

Psalms‬ ‭78‬:‭40‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!”

1 Corinthians 10:3-5

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 

Hebrews 11:5

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

1 Corinthians 10:6-11

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

God would have His people in these days review with a humble heart and teachable spirit the trials through which ancient Israel passed, that they may be instructed in their preparation for the heavenly Canaan.

Many look back to the Israelites, and marvel at their unbelief and murmuring, feeling that they themselves would not have been so ungrateful; but when their faith is tested, even by little trials, they manifest no more faith or patience than did ancient Israel. (Patriarchs and Prophets p. 293)

LET US HELP AND  HAVE PITY ON THOSE FALL AND NOT LAUGH AT THEM AS WE MIGHT ALSO BE TEMPTED AND FALL

Galatians 6:1-2

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 

1 Corinthians 10:12

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 

DIVINE STEPS TO RISIST THE TEMPTATION TO PROVOKE GOD

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.”

2 Peter 1:10-11

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
