After Noah boarded the ark, God gave the rest of mankind 7 more days of grace to repent and board it. This is an idea of which we see echoes all through Scripture.

Until the Lord shut the door on the ark, it was wide open for anyone who was willing to board it. But no one except Noah and his family did. Paul challenges us to look at our own lives and see if we are on God's ark of salvation today.
