In the first Daily Motor Podcast episode of 2023, Chris and Charlie celebrate one full year of podcast production! Hooray! Then they also celebrate Audi SQ7 driving, which is lovely. Also somewhere in there is the Kia Niro EV, which provided reliable transportation, even in sub-freezing temperatures. Then they preview their time with the Volvo XC90 Recharge (with a wool interior) and the Kia Sportage hybrid, which Chris may be getting very used to. In today's episode, which was actually recorded after episode 53, Charlie and Chris talk about their undying love for the Pathfinder Wilderness. I mean TrailSport. I mean Timberline. I mean, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek. It's fine, but they'd prefer it as an Xterra. They also wrap up their thoughts on the first Genesis SUV, the GV80, which is quite good, but quite good doesn't cut it in the luxury segment. What does cut it is very good, and that's how they'd describe the Audi SQ7 that just arrived at DM HQ. Thanks, Lisa. And of course Charlie is excited about the all-new Kia Niro EV as well. In today's episode of the Daily Motor Podcast, Charlie and Chris try to be excited about a bunch of bland crossovers. Which actually isn't too hard with the Genesis GV60 Performance, because it's not bland, and there's much to discuss about Korean cars and EV ownership. Trust us, Charlie has plenty to rant about. However, there's less to say about the Infiniti QX60 Sensory. Meh. And the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek isn't making a good first impression with its very loud tires. But they are looking forward to the Genesis GV80 3.5T that's coming today! And the CoPart segment is back after a one-week hiatus. Enjoy!

It's telling that the Infiniti Q50 and Honda HR-V are not super exciting, because Charlie and Chris had a tough time finding much to say about them. However, some people just want a boring car, and that's perfectly fine. This week brings some more exciting cars, however! A 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness and a 2023 Lexus RX 500h F Sport Performance. We really don't understand why Lexus has F Sport Performance on an RX hybrid, but alas...enjoy!

In a very crispy version of the Daily Motor Podcast, Chris and Charlie equate the new Chevrolet Blazer to Walmart...not sure how Chevy will feel about that one. They also try some vegan and gluten-free chocolate cookies. And then after that they recall their time in the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro aka the Japanese F-150.
