- And focusing on the present instead of illusions.

Articles Discussed

“Human Brain Cells Grown on a Chip Level Up to Play ‘Doom’”

Besides being aware of tech advances, I always like stories of innovation like this, because I feel like it keeps our imaginations healthy in wondering what’s possible.

“An extraordinary colonial spider community in Sulfur Cave (Albania/Greece) sustained by chemoautotrophy”

I looked up the paper for this—the collaborative spiders in the cave are solitary spiders on the surface.

If you only experienced them in the cave or on the surface, you would come to different conclusions about them...

Environments matter for talent.

“Your Memories Are Illusions, Controversial Theory Suggests—Meaning We Live in a Simulation”

Interesting thought experiment that I do not believe holds up well.

However, I do like how it emphasizes focusing on the present.

Even when you find something you disagree on, you can still learn something.
