Plus the benefits of “weighing” your system (and yourself, literally) everyday.

If looking to publish a book, you need to read this article.
And if you’re only looking to read books, you need to read this article...
A lot of transferrable principles to systematic development.
“The Book-Reader Buying Cycle: A Strategic Framework for Authors in the Modern Publishing Landscape”
Systems boiled down to the fundamentals are the ticket to success in what you want to build or grow in.
Even better when it’s daily.
Whatever you’re developing, weigh it daily.
“Weigh Yourself Every Day (Or Not At All)”
Experiment day 130:
A conversation on costs, benefits, and what to do when bettering yourself threatens the identity of others.
Enjoy!
Daily Reads
Great example of focusing on the benefits when the cost of development feels high.
And the 3 questions at the end parallel how we (or others) may question our own growth or what we’re building.

People will anchor you to their own identity and view of reality.
So what happens if you change?
You become a threat to their identity, even if they love you and “mean well...”

Experiment day 129:
Our attitude influences our actions influences our outcomes.
A conversation on parenting, communicating with people, and moving past silos to grow holistically.

I see this first hand as a father.
As parents, our tone, body language, and decisions set the atmosphere in our home—and our kids will mirror the atmosphere.
This is a lesson in influencing yourself first, and then influencing people.
“Dad Sets The Tone”
Great thought leadership piece.
Pursuing active communication (relationship building) is how you break down silos (software aside).
And your best outcomes—in anything—will include meeting social (relational) needs. Holistic approach.
“Opinion: Colorado can learn from more than 250 years of Army medicine, especially when it comes to mental healthcare”
Experiment day 128:
A conversation on purpose, rumination (depression) and adopting the actions you need to succeed.
Plus, I read my newest poem.
Enjoy!
Daily Reads
If you want to make no time for depression (or anything), you’ve got to make time for life.
Make the most of every opportunity.
“Make no time for depression.”
“Every deal runs through three gates: access, approval, and adoption.”
True in personal innovation.
You may have access to the relationships and info you need. Acceptance that you need to do the thing.
All that’s left is adoption.

Experiment day 127:
Doc Hypnosis returns 104 episodes after his first appearance on day 23 to discuss his new book, Great Scott!
A great conversation on influence, thinking, and the writing process for the book.

Check out Doc's book, Great Scott!
It's a goldmine of how to think, how to communicate, and even how to better your life.
Day 126:
A conversation on fear, identity, and doing the hard thing to win.
Sometimes, what looks like running from one thing may be our attempt to hide from something else.
And focusing on doing the thing (system) is what unlocks you to achieve the goal (vision).
Enjoy!

I relate to this post, a lot. There’s comfort in deluding yourself into “not caring about winning.” This can even be true when you win—a lot.
Consider this: Are you really “winning” in life if all you ever do it win easily? Is that what purpose and realizing potential feels like?
It feels like there’s more. I believe there’s more.
“I never cared about winning”
Once you’ve decided to face your fear head on, action is required. This article offers excellent perspectives and wisdom on focus, fundamentals, and freedom to do the hard thing.
“On Success”
Experiment day 125:
Discussing how to meet the felt needs of decision makers that differ from the people you’re persuading. (Sometimes they just need to feel confidence.)
And a conversation on confidence, fueled by competence. fueling further competence.
Enjoy!

Excellent article on persuading decision makers not in the room.
If you communicate vision for a product, service, or mission to someone, how are they going to communicate it to a decision maker who has a different set of needs?

I wonder...
Competent people are confident, and confidence drives competence the same way our thoughts drive our actions. “Over confidence” (not arrogance) may not be such a bad thing in the right context.
Reminds me of how faith and works go together.

Live stream experiment, day 124.
A conversation on stewardship.
Stewarding talents, succession, and legacy.
Developing others and using the talent stack you’ve developed are the unlocks.

This includes your family. How you raise your kids is your family’s succession plan.

(Substituting AI for Talent...)
Your talent has value because there’s a limited supply of it in the world.
And talent itself is not the barrier, but how it’s used.
This is where your talent stack, skill stack, and experience come into play.

Live stream experiment day 123:
A conversation on personal innovation through open-source living. Applies to businesses too (even if the “open source” is internal between teams and individuals).
And hybrid AI-human writing—with the human half making the difference.

A rephrase on the closing paragraph:
“The age of Today can be one of prosperity. With the right choices, you can expand opportunity, strengthen yourself, extend your leadership, mitigate risk, and ensure the benefits you experience make a difference. The future is worth building, and you should lead in building it.”
“Open Weights and American AI Leadership”
If you view AI as a talent-enhancing tool (intelligence as a talent), then this is intuitive. I do believe that when people know human writing is involved, it will make a massive difference. The human factor will stand out in AI saturation.
“This Beats Both Human Copy and AI Copy”
Memories and how accurate they are when you talk about them (which we do).
Discussing the possibility of inheriting memories... I wanted to get more into what that could mean for us, but I forgot.
And a life lesson on waiting too long to start.

“memory versus facts”
I believe there’s a lot we do not understand on the nature of memory—and especially how it intertwines with our spirit/soul.
This discovery seems to be only on the biological aspects of memory.
“A 10-year-old child’s experiment proved that memories can be passed down through generations.”
Is this actually the crystals “optimizing”, or what happens when a system runs outside of the environment it was optimized for? And can we even assume the crystals were optimized for gravity or not—Creation is bigger than just Earth.
Interesting discovery.
