This week we are looking at a psalm which will help us to think about Holy Week.

This week we will continue to focus on psalms and spiritual songs. Psalm 126 holds two themes in juxtaposition - themes of joy and sorrow. Both joy and sorrow are true to life individually and corporately as much today as they were for the people of Israel back when this psalm was written.

In Luke chapter 7 we hear the account of Mary washing Jesus’ feet with her tears. This will be helpful to reflect on alongside this psalm as we think of sowing with tears and reaping joy.
