Jesus is God and that is the main reason John writes this gospel. That people would know that and believe it, because without believing it they would not be saved. He changes water to wine to display his glory. He cleanses the temple to show his heart for genuine worship of the Father. He knows what is in the heart of every man so come to him and confess your sins!

Imprecatory Psalms help us see what righteous anger really looks like. Other psalms help us praise God and think rightly about righteous living. There are so many reasons to praise God!

Paul instructs Timothy in a variety of topics. From training himself for godliness, to dealing with widows in the congregation and many more significant issues. This shows us the authority of the pastor in the life of the church. It also shows us the importance of family life in the local congregation. Watch out for money and pastors who are tempted by greed for it produces all kind of evil!

1 Timothy deals with so many issues, but it's two primary themes are the Gospel of Christ, and the Word of God! Do you depend on those two things as much as Paul. Strive for that in your life.

Did Paul's converts last through the suffering? Timothy says they did, and they are thriving in love! God is sovereign over peoples salvation and sanctification so pray to that end. They were experts in love, but may have been living in a holy huddle. Don't worry about the dead in Christ, they are happily with God and will take part in the rapture as those who last until the end. The Day of the Lord shouldn't concern you because you are children of light!
