WVDNR launches Eyes in the Sky drone program
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has launched its new "Eyes in the Sky" drone program.
Using unmanned aerial systems, the program will assist with wildlife monitoring, habitat assessments, conservation efforts and public safety operations. The technology allows staff to collect data more efficiently across rugged terrain while strengthening the agency's ability to protect natural resources statewide.
