If Christians believe that God "works all things according to the counsel of his will" and that his knowledge of all things past, present, and future is infallible, then what is the point of praying or doing anything at all?

What does it mean to say that God is sovereign, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent? How do these truths about God relate to human free will or responsibility for sins committed or decisions made or actions taken or not taken?

We heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven.

But we see... Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

Is it our chief aim in this life to submit to God serving Him and others with selfless love and sacrificial priorities, or is it our aim to pursue and possess as much pleasure and prosperity as this world has to offer?

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.”

It is neither shocking nor surprising that a secular society is bent on moving away from anything that calls it to submit to God ... but what about when the Church drifts?.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
