What a crazy game! We break down the Mavs' win, their crucial 3rd quarter run, and what this means for the series.
The Mavs lost Game 3, which sucks. We talked about some adjustments the Clippers made that helped them win this game. We also talked about what went wrong for the Mavericks and what they need to do in Game 4. (Fair warning: If you’re a Kristaps Porzingis fan, it’s probably best to not listen to this episode. It’s not all Kristaps hate, but I do think that was a key to the loss.)
It's been a while! But how can you not talk about the Mavs right now? We took a break from the pod, but we're back to share our totally biased fan reactions to what the Mavericks are doing to the Clippers right now. We talked about Luka being all kinds of a jerk to the Clippers while putting on a show for the fans. He is KILLING them. We also talked about comments from the Clippers, Clippers fans, and head coach Ty Lue. They are some arrogant dudes over there. We also got into how important Kristaps is in this series, Tim Hardaway Jr's hot shooting. We just addressed everything that everyone has been saying and broke it all down to explain what's going on and what's going to happen in Game 3.
Thanks for listening!
We talked about the Mavericks' loss to the Spurs, why they didn't double-team DeMar DeRozan, if they could have gotten a better shot to end the game, and whether or not Kristaps deserves more trust. He's asked for more shots, specifically in the fourth quarter, but has he earned that right? We break down the numbers to see if Kristaps shows up when his team needs him the most.
Yeah, that game pretty much sucked. We talked about why. We also announced the winners of our Homage.com t-shirt giveaway! Listen to see if you won.
These Mavs are legit.
We did our usual post-game coverage of the Mavs' win over the Jazz, but we also spent some time talking about our reluctancy to believe in the Mavericks as a team and an organization. Sorry this is such a long episode. It's something that's been on my mind lately. I'm a cynical fan because of how the organization has been run the past 10 years. I want to go back to just enjoying basketball, so we talked about if that's possible or how to do it.
The Dallas Mavericks gutted out a tough win against the Knicks. A lot of things went wrong, but a lot of things went right. We talked about Josh Richardson and Jalen Brunson's key role in the win plus Kristaps' utter trash of a game. Does he only show up in meaningless games? It's a theory we discuss. We then pose the question of whether or not the Mavericks are only one piece away from contending. I know that sounds crazy, but hear us out...

Luka was ballin' tonight. We talk about this big game and some weird things with Kristaps, as usual. We also talk about the JJ Redick quotes about he didn't want to be traded to Dallas. Should we be worried? We then looked to the upcoming back-to-back and try to guess which one the Mavs' will rest Luka and Kristaps on, plus why we dislike that plan so much. Lots to cover, and a rant. Thanks for listening!

Sydney talked to Pelicans Mason Ginsberg and got the scoop on what JJ Redick is like at this point in his career and if Mavs fans should be worried about his age and his heel injury. We also talked about some ways Nicolo Melli might surprise Mavs fans. It's a good interview all around with some interesting nuggets.
