After a rough week, the Dallas Mavericks faced a formidable foe in the Toronto Raptors, the defending champions. But the team came together on offense and defense and pulled out a tough win. We noticed two major differences in this game. The offense seemed to have a faster pace. Guys were moving more and the ball moved more. This created better shots for everyone, including Kristaps Porzingis. The team also showed toughness on the defensive end. Dorian Finney-Smith, Delon Wright, Maxi Kleber, and Kristaps all make significant contributions on defense. In this episode, we share our reactions to the win, talk about what contributed to the win, and what changes we saw in this game. We then take a look forward to the next few games on the Mavs' schedule.

Rick Carlisle did two interviews today, one with Jim Rome and one with Zach Lowe of ESPN. He talked about things fans have been frustrated with. Why don't we see more Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis pick and rolls? Why doesn't Delon Wright start? Will we see a consistent starting lineup? What is the team's identity? What can be done about the defense. Carlisle gave some interesting answers. We discussed those and shared our reactions.

The Mavericks played a tough opponent on Monday night, the Boston Celtics. The team started the game slow and led only one time. We talk about Kristaps's offensive struggles and ask questions about rotations and defense. Ultimately the question comes up, is this who the Mavericks are? We keep complaining about this player and that player, but maybe the entire roster is disappointing. Maybe they just don't have a good team.
Listen for our thoughts on those topics, plus a look ahead to their next game against the Knicks.

There's a lot to like about this Dallas Mavericks team. But there are some things that can be cleaned up. Should Seth Curry get Tim Hardaway Jr.'s minutes? Should Maxi Kleber get Dwight Powell's minutes? Why is the Mavs' defense so bad? Will the lineups and rotations ever make sense? We discuss those topics and take a look ahead at their next four games against the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, and San Antonio Spurs. We finish by spending about 10 minutes just gushing about Luka and Kristaps.
