Our psalm of the month for December. We consider the Christian's identity as a stranger in the earth.

We look at the intercessory work of Jesus Christ as our High Priest and consider the great petition in His High Priestly prayer - that we would be with Him where He is. We marvel at the desire of the Lord and we are encouraged by how this prayer will be answered, and so the believer has every confidence that they will be with Jesus forever in heaven. John 17:24.

We consider a topical sermon on the promise from God that He will give us pastors after His own heart. We look to the nature of the people of God and why they need pastors and what the heart of such men ought to be for the flock. Jeremiah 3:15.

We continue our exposition of Luke's gospel and come to the episode where Martha and Mary host the Lord Jesus Christ. We see Martha's many cares and distractions that pull her away from the Lord Jesus Christ and see what is needful for our lives - communion with Christ - and thankfully this good part will never be taken from us. There is found in this text an exhortation to prioritize Christ in our lives above all other lawful activities. Luke 10:38-42.

We look at the intercessory work of Jesus Christ once again and see how His high priestly prayer intercedes for us to bind us together as one. We see that the Redeemer's heart is for the unity of His people. We understand the cords of unity from His prayer that bind us together and are exhorted to seek after God for the grace to be unified as one people of God. John 17:21-23.

We consider November's psalm of the month - Psalm 119:9-16 and in this portion we consider the great need to hide the Word of God in our heart to not sin against God. We see that the psalmist's view of God informs his need for heart religion and because he sees the blessedness of God, he desires to keep the Word close to not sin against his God.

We consider Christ as our Great High Priest and His intercessory prayers for His people. The Christian has a great assurance of their faith not failing because, in the heavens, Jesus Christ prays that their faith does not fail. However, he does not pray that our faith will not be tested. But in this text, we will also discover some of God's purpose for the trials of faith He brings to us. Luke 22:31-33.

We continue our series on Hebrews and see that through the Order of Melchizedek - the Order of Christ's priesthood - we can draw nigh unto God. This is a great privilege of the New Testament, and we are to glorify God for it and take advantage of this near fellowship we can have with Jehovah through Jesus. Preached from Hebrews 7-11-19.

On the happy occasion of baptizing three children, we hear from Matthew 21-16 and observe how the little children praised Jesus Christ as He entered Jerusalem. We see that our children are called to praise the Lord from their tenderest ages.
