We continue our series through Hebrews and arrive to a solemn charge given by the apostle to the Hebrews- that they had become dull of hearing. Because they had no desire to grow in the Word they had regressed and were in danger of losing the gospel itself. We hear of our need to grow in the Word that we might grow in Christ, lest we find ourselves backsliding, and on the path to apostasy as the Hebrews were. As we were blessed to receive the Kroening family into membership and we heard of our need to give ourselves to the Lord and to His Church out of 2 Corinthians 8-5. That after being saved by the Lord, the Christian consecrates themselves to Him, and one of the ways they express their consecration to God is by giving themselves to Christ's Church and having a care for the well-being of the Church. We continue our series on Hebrews and consider Christ's superior priesthood of the order of Melchizedek that shows that the royal priesthood of Christ as a priest on the throne is far greater than Aaron's priesthood and so has secured an eternal salvation for us. We also hear about Christ's cries and sufferings which show us how greatly our high priest cares for God's flock, in a way that Aaron never did or could. We consider Luke 18-15-17 and see that an infant being baptized is a picture of the gospel and our need to be born again and become as a little child to enter the kingdom of God. Preached on the occasion of the baptism of an infant on Sabbath AM 07-10-22.

We return to our Gospel Worship series and consider the warrant to have special days of Thanksgiving where we are called to praise and bless the LORD for His special deliverances in the course of His Providence towards us. We will consider that from both Psalm 107 and Esther 9-20-22.

We consider our Psalm of the Month, Psalm 104 - and are exhorted that we must praise Christ as the Creator as well as Governor of Providence. Preached Sabbath AM on 07-03-22.

To respond to the Lord Jesus Christ out of thankful hearts, we will consider 2 Corinthians 5-14-17, where we -Behold, all things are become new-- to the Christian saved by the grace of the Lord. That by the grace given to us in the Supper we are enabled to live for Christ and as a new creation. To put off the old man and his ways and put on the new remade in Christ. We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper in this service, and so, we -Behold the Man-- from John 19 as we are exhorted to Behold Jesus Christ as our substitutionary atonement, to behold His becoming a curse for us, that as a sheep led to the slaughter, He stood silent, to be condemned in our place. To give us life everlasting through His suffering. When we see the bread broken and the wine poured out, we must then BEHOLD THE MAN broken and accursed for our sin. We prepare for the upcoming sacrament of the Lord's Supper and stir up our desire for the Lord's presence. We continue our exposition of the Song of Songs and observe how Christ and the Church declare their love one to another. We find this is due to Christ beautifying His Church. As we prepare for the Supper, we must behold how the Lord's work will not only justify us but sanctify us, such that He sees the end of His work in us to declare us fair and lovely. In this, He draws us to the Table to sit with the King, to stir up our graces in His presence. Preached from Song 1-9-17 on Sabbath PM 06-05-22.

We consider our Psalm of the Month - Psalm 103, where we are exhorted to bless the Lord for all of His blessings. To meditate on the many ways the Lord has freely given us His undeserved goodness in Christ, so that we might praise and bless Him forever. Preached Sabbath AM on 06-05-22.
