I’ve Always Been a Weirdo.
What happens when the curiosity that once made you feel alive becomes the very thing you learn to suppress?
In the first episode of DAMARAS: The Other Side of Normal, I’m introducing myself—and why this podcast exists.
I’ve always been curious, questioning, deeply observant, and a little weird. But as I got older, I learned to shrink myself. Curiosity became self-consciousness. Questioning became overthinking. And eventually, trying to fit in became a way of life.
We’re talking about conditioning, conformity, faith, spirituality, identity, womanhood, and the courage to question the things we’ve been taught to accept.
And I’m introducing the Truth Tellers—the deep thinkers, the unconventional ones, the spiritually curious, the neurodivergent, and anyone who has ever felt like they were too much or never quite fit the box they were handed.
This isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about being willing to ask better questions.
Welcome to the other side of normal. 🖤
