The Michigan budget crisis has ended. The state House voted 101 to 8 to approve the bill, with the Senate then passing it just after 3 a.m. on Friday.
WWJ's Jackie Paige and Chris Fillar spoke live with Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who will sign the bill into law. She says this is "a damn good budget," and a big win for education in the state.
For the other side, we spoke with Republican state Sen. Joe Bellino of Monroe. He said he was against many parts of this budget — especially the marijuana tax.
