UK is still the unanimous number one pick in the Associated Press poll this week, getting all 64 first place votes, while one so called ‘expert’ in the USA Today Coaches Poll STILL is giving his first place vote to Duke.
Enough about that. Cats are back in action tonight as they start league play. Ole Miss comes to town this evening. UK is a 23 point favorite.
In his pre-game press conference, Cal said the team had concentrated on the infamous ‘tweak 2’, defensive rebounding and getting players to concentrate on their on court actions. Like Dakari Johnson.

And in a variation of an old saying, Cal said winning and losing isn’t nearly as important as how you play the game.

Cal also announced that Clarksville’s Alex Poythress would have his ACL surgery today.
Yesterday we told you Vince Marrow was staying at UK as tight ends coach. According to UK, he received a contract extension through 2018. Financial terms aren’t available, but it is speculated he got a raise in the neighborhood of two hundred thousand dollars a year.
