Dan Barracuda: Inside A Musician's Mind

Man, this one's nuts. I like the different ideas floating around, particularly the main riff and the mini guitar solo when everything stops. Lyrics need some revisiting, but I've always had that weird melody in my head. What else could you see happening here?

You speaka da gibberish? Show me. I bet you're not as weird as this too0n.

This one packs a PUNCH. Right to my face. Knocks me out. Bye, Dan!

So damn cool guys. Whoever's out there listening, come talk to me! I wanna get your feedback, see what you guys like and HATE. I appreciate this so much THANK YOU :D

This one's from 2012. I'm thinking ACOUSTIC Rammstein, nah mean? I'm not sure if the riff needed electric guitar, but maybe a 12 string or some other texture to accompany it. I like how it kicks bass, but yeah this idea needs to go somewhere. It's like acoustic industrial, if that makes any sense. DU HAST.

An original that was conceived back in 2011. Nice and personal, sinking into love :)

It's sound to think you're now bound

It's out, spread out for you to know

It's love, true love on a mental plane

We found a way to perceive the mirage

Parked right upon it

For the Gilmour fans - c'mon here here boy, have a cigar, you're gonna go fahhhh!

Another oldie - love the title, it fits the music well. It's in 10/4 - sort of doesn't feel like it though. This is one of my favorite basslines I've written! I love how it dances around the drum groove and guitar riff. Can you hear any other instruments being playing over this? Well, besides a phone alarm.

Groove = the dancing space between the instruments

Another super oldie, circa 2010. It all started with a phone recording at the piano rooms at UMass Amherst. I had this weird vocal idea ("slipping the venom inside the rose...etc") that never made too much sense. But reviving it with some more arrangement, and slightly altering the lyrics totally brought it to life! Needs to head somewhere though. Thoughts?

It's been a year today. We love and miss you man!
