Dan Brag went to great lengths to build the digital agency he has today. One of the topics we covered was that when students learn a topic for a grade, that simply isn't enough. If you were to instead learn something to apply it in a business or project then that will be 100X better.

Learning and applying something, especially for a business, will help you in the real world. A simple letter grade will not suffice.

Dan Brag in that respect learned 7 different programming languages to build websites which he offers as a service. When asked why he doesn't use WordPress, it is because there is a lot of fluff that can make the site slow compared to making a custom one.  In addition, he has more functionality and autonomy in making edits to the backend.
