Sub Headline: Amazon is both housing third-party sellers to sell on its platform and a seller itself with its private labeled brand. Amazon Basics products have been feared to outshow other branded products from other sellers. Because Amazon has all the data in regard to all the transactions, they know whether or not it will be a better idea to create a private labeled brand to compete with their customers and give themselves the advantage by pushing their products in the eyes of more consumers.
Reports say that this is not the case but others have speculated otherwise,
Okendo is a startup that primarily helps Shopify businesses by enabling them to collect customer reviews via product ratings, customer-generated photos + videos, preferences, and more.
Customer reviews drive sales. Think about it. Many shoppers on Amazon buy products that are rated highly and have great reviews. When pondering about buying product A or product B, customers tend to purchase the one that has a better rating. The same thing applies when going to a restaurant.
Okendo has already worked with over 5,000 brands and you can too. The reality is that one does not have to use them for your Shopify business. There are other plugins and tools that will help you display reviews. The important thing you must take away is to show you're a trusty brand selling products people love. The only way to do that is via ratings and customer reviews.
Amazon just broke the internet with the number of people buying products during Amazon's Prime Day Event. They surpassed 300,000 million items being sold at a rate of 100,000 items sold per minute!
Did you know that 90% of Americans only live within 10 miles of a Walmart? That to me sounds like sameday delivery is very possible potentially making Amazon worried.
Voice technology is only getting better and its applications for it can be limitless. Look at what Amazon is doing with its new feature where instead of Alexa (the default speaking assistant) reading a bedtime story to a child, a recognized voice (such as your parent or in this case a deceased grandma) can do so.
Now, what can voice assistants or smart speakers do more for your e-commerce business? More and more people are getting these types of devices and more people are making search queries. In addition, people are also buying more through voice search and the revenue to come out of that is in the billions!
Your business will not want to miss out on voice search so optimizing your site with long-tail keywords is super important.
