Join host Joanne Carey for this Special Episode of Dance Talk in honor of Autism Acceptance Month
In this Special Episode of “Dance Talk” ® with Joanne Carey , Joanne sits down with special guest, Dan Watt, producer of the film, "EVERYBODY DANCE", a beautiful and poignant documentary film, highlighting the importance of inclusion and acceptance, that follows 5 dancers with different disabilities, along with their families and their beloved dance teacher, Bonnie Schlachte, over the course of 10 months, culminating in their dance recital. Joanne and Dan not only discuss the making of the film, "EVERYBODY DANCE", but they discuss the vital importance of inclusion, the amazing and far reaching impact it has on everyone (including themselves) and just how essential it is. Dan also shares a bit of the divine intervention that inspired him to make this film. As he said to me, "April's goal is to help us move in the right direction towards realizing inclusion, and sustainability, leaving no one behind. EVERYBODY DANCE documentary does just that, shining a light on kids, their families and an amazing teacher that are a beacon of this message." "EVERYBODY DANCE" is a must see!
Dan Watt is an independent film maker who began his career as a dancer, then dance educator working in the industry. He spent several years working at Columbia Pictures and for Simon Cowell. As a former dancer and dance teacher his knowledge of dance and history of teaching and choreographing brings a unique perspective to the making of this documentary. Dan along with Bonnie were featured on the Kelly Clarkson Show, who loved the film so much she had to have them on.
The film EVERYBODY DANCE is available on Amazon Prime, AppleTV, iTunes, Google Play, Vimeo and Vudu.
