Former YAGP competitors are talking: and some of their stories raise serious questions.
In this episode, we dig into allegations and personal accounts involving body image, weight, scoring, race, school connections, and influence inside one of the most important competitions in the ballet world.
Can scores be changed after they’re submitted? Do certain schools or connections carry more weight? And what happens when young dancers walk away believing their body—not their dancing—cost them an opportunity?
These stories are allegations and personal experiences shared publicly and have not been independently verified. This episode isn’t about declaring YAGP “rigged.” It’s about asking a much simpler question:
Is the process transparent enough for dancers to trust it?
