In terms of Biblical prophecy, Daniel 9 is one of the most important chapters of the Bible. In Daniel 9, God gives Daniel a detailed prophetic timeline of the future that includes key events in redemptive history, such as the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile, the death of the Messiah, and the second destruction of the Jewish temple following Jesus' first coming. Two verses that require particular attentiveness are Daniel 9:26 and Daniel 9:27. In regard to the latter, the big question is: Is the angel Gabriel in this verse describing the work of the Anti-Christ, or the work of the Messiah? This is obviously a huge difference!
