Like it or not, we are all creatures of habit. Some of those habits are good and others are bad.

So what are your bad habits? It can be anything from overeating to a lack of exercise. It could be too much social media or too little time spent with your spouse and children.

But habits aren't all bad. Maybe you want to improve your life by starting a new habit. Here is a list from which you can pick: eat breakfast, practice gratitude, daily exercise, get a good night's sleep, be mindful, read something every day, wash hands regularly, drink more water.

This weekend at CrossWalk Church in Phoenix we are ending our "Stand Out" message series in Daniel 6 with the account of Daniel in the Lion's den.

Perhaps a better title for Daniel 6 would be "the triumph of habits and character." Daniel's greatest strengths - his habit of spending time with God in devotion and prayer and his character of being honest and diligent at work - seemed to be his Achilles' heel. His enemies were using it against him.

But Daniel's habits and character where a reflection of his relationship with God which was his ultimate source of strength and power.
