Since God has ordained the present age as a time of injustice and pain we 'work out our salvation' presently by bearing witness to His mercy in the midst of injustice and pain. This session will explore the cross and suffering of Jesus as not only an atonement, but also as exemplary since it is the single event in human history which perfectly illustrates a faithful witness of the mercy of God. We will also take up our cross and follow in his footsteps if we are to be a faithful witness at the end of the age.
