danielbritt.com Daniel Britt Interviews

Here's the much-anticipated interview with David Phelps. This is my first interview with David, but it mainly focuses on Christmas. I do have plans to pursue a more in-depth discussion with David "from start to finish."

This is one great family group. I "stumbled" across them, actually, by listening to XM 34, believe it or not. Their story is cool, too and I think you'll enjoy getting to know better: The Crist Family.

Here's an in-depth interview with Joel & LaBreeska Hemphill about their music, songwriting, family, struggles, and faith. Enjoy!

Here's my audio interview with the Booth Brothers (Michael & Ronnie Booth and Jim Brady). Recorded at the National Quartet Convention in 2006, the guys talk about their relationship to Mosie Lister, their individual musical influences, and their unique style of music today.

Here's the interview I recorded with Kevin Williams in September, 2006. Kevin has since returned to the Gaither Homecoming tour (so any mention of his concert absence needs to be taken in the context of when the interview took place). Kevin has stories to tell, like working with Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters, Bill Gaither, and Anthony Burger. If you've ever had an opportunity to talk to Kevin before or after a Homecoming concert, you know how approachable he is -- and funny, too! Enjoy.

Here's the interview I recorded with Allison Durham Speer. She married into a rich heritage of Gospel singers, and carries on that tradition with the finest ability and class. She's a great story teller and gives us a glimpse into her relationship with father-in-law Brock Speer, uncle Ben Speer, and others. What a personality!

Here's my interview with John and Candy Pfeifer (siblings) and good friend Mary Jane Carter who collectively make up the unique Gospel sound of the Pfeifers.

I recently had another visit with John Christopher Knight, whose family produces some of the most unique, original music you've ever heard. It doesn't fall into any kind of box. They're Christians and some of the music references their faith while some simply references life (and after all, isn't God the God of all?).

Listen to this visit with John, recorded in February of 2007. Then, you can also go back and listen to an earlier interview recorded in September of 2005 at this link.

Here's the mp3 interview download of the extended interview with the men of Mercy's Mark, recorded in September during NQC week in Louisville, Kentucky. Enjoy!
