How do a mother and daughter decide to write a book about the vagina together?  Having a family that is open and comfortable enough to talk about body parts can lead you to write a book about the vagina, in case you didn’t know. 

On this episode of Clutching Your Pearls, Danielle Gauss and her mother Colleen Brown talk all things V, vag, hoo-ha, and then some. Danielle is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant,  woman's health educator, author, and most important, wife and mother to two spectacular strong women. 

Colleen is Danielle’s super real and hilarious mother, and together they make talking about sex and womanhood normal in a country that still treats these topics as taboo. Last time we checked, sex is how we all go here, isn’t it? So let’s talk about it! 

The conversation turns to how men have always suppressed women, from the right to vote to telling a woman it’s her fault she got pregnant, enough! And, may we add that our bodies were not put on this earth solely to please a man, c’mon! 

Let’s shove the shame into the corner, embrace who we are, and set a better example for our youth. Let’s celebrate the vagina!
