The Royal Danish Air Force took over the Baltic Air Policing mission from the U.S. Air Force at Šiauliai Air Base in Lithuania on 8 January 2018. The U.S. handed over control of the airspace during a brief ceremony, after which U.S. and Danish jets executed a flyover.

Footage includes scenes from the ceremony, shots of the jets flying and taxing, and interviews with Danish and NATO officials.
