You know, it’s funny, I said this a couple of years ago to my friend who is a musician as well and we’ve kind of got the same mentality in terms of going for what you want, and I remember saying to him ‘Imagine an interview,’ because as a musician myself and a fan of music, when I check out music or a band I always look up their interviews, I always want to get to know that person a bit more, and recently that’s change – which I’m going to talk about. But, in music interviews it was always like, ‘Okay, you’re being interviewed about going on tour, what your song is about,’ all the musical stuff like your fans, crazy experiences, all the general stuff which is cool; but I always said to myself and to my friend, ‘Imagine those interviews where the interviewer is asking the artist more of their ethos and mindset of why they do what they do and how they got to where they did with their mindset, what their background is,’ more in-depth questions that get to the essence of that person who has created the art. I’ve always been fascinated by that and now it’s quite clear that podcasts are becoming a bit more popular and I’m always listening to podcasts. Basically, I’ve always got my headphones and I’m either listening to music or podcasts and I’m listening to so many more podcasts now, it’s crazy. It is touching on all these subjects that I’ve been yearning for from artists, not just artists but entrepreneurs, all sorts of influencers, actors, campaigners, and you get to listen to how they think and why they do what they do and what they’ve been through and the experiences they have. I think it’s amazing, I’ve got really addicted to it. That is part of why I’m doing as well, I’ve always wanted to do that with my music somehow.
we were talking about social anxiety, confidence, bullying, ego, stuff like that and it’s a subject that I’m very passionate about: self-belief, because it’s one of the things that I’ve really worked on my whole life to really instil self-belief and I’ll be completely honest, and I know a lot of other people feel like this whether they’re artists or creatives or not, they have a lot of self-doubts, sometimes self-doubt can actually be the driving force for a creative to be inspired and create something from that
