Nick Fury has been hanging out on S.A.B.E.R, a space station designed to protect Earth from Space threats. It's based on the organization S.W.O.R.D. It's a whole thing.

Talos is from the comics, but the MCU version is much better and far more in-depth. 

Yes, G'iah is from the comics, but this is a totally different version of her. 

In the comics, this all started when the Illuminati (Black Bolt, Namor, Reed Richards, Professor X and Iron Man) went to the Skrull homeworld and destroyed their capital city. The Skrulls were, uh, not happy about that. 

In the comics, Skrulls can be easily detected. They had to motify themselves in order to go undetected by humans. The same concept is happening in this show. Fun Fact: there were tons of Skrulls in Marvel Comics for years but they didn't know they were Skrulls. Could characters in the MCU that we've loved for so long be Skrulls? Who knows!

That credits sequence at the beginning of Secret Invasion? A robot made it. Man, we are all going to be unemployed in, like, two years, aren't we? 

Marvel cut two movies from their release slate, but we have no idea what those movies were going to be.

There are way, way too many great voice actors in this movie.

One of the biggest concepts that the movie works with is Miles Morales. Even in the comics, Miles is unique among all the variations of Spider-Man. It’s not just his ethnicity, but the fact that he is well outside the story telling connections of Peter Parker. 

The same is true of Miguel O’Hare, who was also created outside of the Peter Parker mythos. Note: Miguel O’Hare is not as “intense” as this movie portrays him. And Lyla is from the comics, too. Shout out to my man Peter David. 

Yes, the Spider-Verse is a “thing.” This movie did a great job combining the MCU’s overall idea of a Multiverse with the Spider-Verse. (I hope you guys caught the Earth-199999 reference)

In the comics, Nightcrawler is the child of Mystique and was given up by his mother. He was informally adopted by a Romani queen and was raised in a traveling circus–not the Munich circus as in the movies.

Lady Deathstrike is a cyborg with a mechanized body and Adamantium claws in the comics. She originated in Japan and has an irrational hatred of Wolverine which led her to America and association with William Stryker.

William Stryker was a sergeant in the army and is associated with the Weapon X program that gave Wolverine his Adamantium skeleton. He has a very dark origin story that led to his own irrational hatred of Professor X. 

Mastermind is not the son of William Stryker. He was recruited away from a carnival into the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants by Magneto. In the Brotherhood, his teammates were Toad, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver.

Adam Warlock has been a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers at different times. He also played a critical role in defeating Thanos.

High Evolutionary has a lot more to do with Adam Warlock than Rocket Raccoon in the comics.
