In this episode, I talk about participating in this year's lent season and using the energy gained through sacrificing certain comforts to explore the other vices (that don't really seem like vices) in my life. What this has done is open a portal into the magic that exists with having a sober mind. One that is not only sober of substances but our devices, the media, & other people's energies. That is not to say that these things are inherently evil, but observing the things that bring us superficial and temporary suffering when taken away, allows us to understand our relationship to them. And this is something I consider to be very valuable data.
Welcome back! In this episode, I explore the internal dialogues of self-hate and self-love and talk about my journey in mending the war between these two forces. Self-love can't really exist without self-hate and it's truly up to us to mother the side of ourselves that seems to be keeping us from our goals and dreams. It doesn't always seem like it, but the areas where we lack self-worth are really trying to protect us from getting hurt, not sabotage us. I hope you are able to take away some tips on how to nurture yourself when you are indulging in negative self-talk and also to cultivate mothering energy to guide you in the direction you're really trying to go in.
