We have reached the end of the day and everything has come to a head. Quorin and Markis were about to tell Mrs. Andreas and Aren what actually happened to them when they were interrupted by a visit from The Cartel. Now held hostage at gunpoint by Matthias and a few goons, they are forced into a conversation with the com-caster holographic image of The Cartel boss Ms. M. She and her crime syndicate have an interesting offer for Quorin and by default his family and friends. The thing is, Quorin , or perhaps The Entity itself, has an entirely different outcome in mind. What happens when The Cartel comes head to head with a Darksend not just defending his life, but the lives of those he loves the most? And where is Winter during all of this? It was he that had pointed The Cartel in Quorin’s direction. All in all, expect there to be more than a few issues with all of these “Uninvited Guests”.

The time has come to go home. Quorin must face the biggest challenge of this already mondo frakked up day...his Mom. Reunited with Markis they both have to explain to Mrs. Andreas what exactly happened since leaving the house this morning. All they want is for this day to be over. Unfortunately for them, Mom, and Aren, Ms. M and The Cartel have other ideas.

After the events of the warehouse, we switch our focus to Markis. It has been a few hours since the wreck and he is still at the hospital. Having had a conversation with Quorin's mom, he waits for a car to give him a ride home, only to discover that it's Winter who has arrived to pick him up. Talk about a tense trip home. You can imagine that Markis has a plethora of questions... but it's Winter's answers that prove to be most disturbing.

Still trying to process the massive info dump laid on him by Winter, Quorin is slowly coming to terms with the idea that he was invested with powers by a cosmic entity and given a horrible purpose that he somehow sidestepped, and his only "guide" through it all couldn't be more shady and suspicious if he tried. How could things get any worse right? How about walking right into a cartel gun dealand having even more people try to kill you? No way around it, just a real bad day.

Moments after the accident and the emergence of his powers, a dazed and injured Quorin is taken to an abandoned warehouse by the stranger known as Winter. After having his wounds tended to, Quorin awakens to find his reality is in a whole new paradigm. He is part of something far bigger than even the universe itself. Something dark... something hungry. To top it off, the only one who knows what is going on is Winter... a mysterious unsettling enigma with unknown motives. Alone, hurt, exhausted and scared, Quorin has to keep himself in check and try to find a way to accept what Winter tells him. A way to begin to come to terms with what he has become.
