Welcome to the latest edition of First State Kopites – a podcast for Liverpool supporters in Delaware and friends of those Liverpool supporters.

It’s episode 7 of our 4th season. I’m Paul and I am joined by Daz and Sean. The only thing reasonable to say this week is that this 2022-23 season has not started the way we all hoped.

Part One - Crystal Palace - mixed feeling about the performance

  • First half - Odd looking starting 11. Looked good but no end product. What did we all make of it?
  • Second half - The Nunez incident drastically changed the game. What might have been?
  • Why didn’t Gomez start? Missing Naby/Thiago? The story behind the story with Nunez - XG stats
  • Hate to do it, but we gotta talk Tierney. When margins are fine, he completely erases them
  • Part Two - Manchester United and next week’s game

    • De Gea and Maguire and Brentford
    • Big Monday night match up
    • How will we set up?
    • Part Three - elsewhere:

      • More poor officiating in the Chelsea-Spurs match
      • West Ham & Everton off to bad starts
      • City the run away favorite now already?
      • We’ll be back next week after Liverpool head to Old Trafford. Thanks to Sean and Daz. If you enjoyed the podcast, share it with a friend.
