Read the biographies of the saints, irrelevant of religion, for a roadmap of whats possible in your future. Their lives may not be easy but their dedication to God is resolute.This is an excerpt from a talk given by Haricharan Das, disciple of Sant Keshavadas. Haricharan's principle focus is the Yogic Path of the Saints as expressed through yoga science and philosophy, a vast subject which aims to bring wholeness and divine intimacy to the human experience.
Excerpt:
Do as much mantra as possible;
you're changing the literal alchemy of your psyche and you're creating a pathway to the soul.
As you're chanting any of the great mantras, what's happening is you're slowly purifying your ego; which means you're slowly removing limitations; which means you're slowly removing suffering.
Mantra is a door of liberation;
just like meditation is a door of liberation, prayer is a door of liberation
but not all the time do you have the facility for meditation, but you can always chant mantra, even if you're lying in a bed and sick. Mantra is a great dispensation to get us out of our limited and grand suffering.
In the beginning you won't understand but as you continue your life of prayer and mantra, the benefits will start to kick in and you'll see an easing of your life.
Various trials will occur in your life. The question is, do you use the tools of man or do you use the tools of sanctity. Every discomfort, every physical psychological challenge is a test.
