Best data mining book in business context
This is by far the best Data Mining book that has a business focus. There are 100 data mining books that will tell you how, for example, neural network works. But you will still be blank where and how to apply this.
In short, this is a book that tells you when to use data mining, how to use data mining and how to evaluate the models in a business context. It offers many real business examples. If you are truly interested in data mining solutions for business, this is the book to read.

Any additional comments?
This book really help me a lot in understanding big data analytics because the contents are easy to absorb, especially with the given real life examples. With the help of this book, everything seem to be easier to connect from one to another. I would recommend this book to others who want to improve their knowledge quickly around the area of data analytics.
Great book for providing a high level summary
Great book for providing a high level summary of data science techniques to people that may not care about the mathematical details. I tend to recommend this to people more worried about building up a working knowledge of classic problems and approaches in data science rather than for those wanting to look at page after page of detailed math related to probability distributions. The authors took up the challenge of writing a timeless book in a field undergoing fast technological growth. If you want to manage successful teams in data science and data-analytic thinking this book is a must. I highly recommend it!
I learned a lot
This is not a fluffy book. It helped me understand what is possible in data science. It is a good compliment to technical books on or whatever for doing data science. This book is used in Northwestern University's course on machine learning.
